In 2014, Christine, together with her partner Marc Graf and her colleague Robert Haasmann, have launched a long time photography and multimedia project called LEBEN AM LIMIT („Living on the edge“).
The topics they aim to cover with this project are located mainly but not exclusively in the alpine regions of Austria, where wildlife faces a series of limits. Limiting factors may be climate or terrain but most often the largest limiting factor for the existence of wildlife are humans.
Christine, Marc and Robert intend to inform the public about human-animal interactions, about possibilities of coexistence and most importantly they aim at opening people’s eyes for the beauty and treasures of wilderness. Currently their work focus lies on European brown bears and whether or not coexistence with humans is possible in densely populated Central Europe. The project was awarded with the Beca MontPhoto WWF Grant in October 2016.
